Best YA Boyfriends
Publishing Date: 12/1/2014

The best thing about reading a YA novel is imagining the characters any way you like, to look a certain way, perhaps reminding you of someone in your real life. The gallant, unique, sincere, complicated and (most probably) very cute young men described here have been breaking hearts—both readers’ and protagonists’—for a while now. If you had to choose just one to be stranded on a desert island with, who would be the lucky fellow?

AdriFrostbite coveran Ivashkov – Bloodlines/ Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead

Readers are gaga over this royal Russian vamp from the Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead, and we’re wondering what it could be: his riches? His dark side? Or could it be those dark emerald eyes? We won’t have to wait that much longer to get a glimpse of the character: a film adaptation is set for 2014.

Clockwork Angel coverWill Herondale – SHADOWHUNTER/THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS series by Cassandra Clare

With the highly anticipated film version hitting theaters this summer, readers can’t get enough of this magical and dangerous world featuring demons and their hunters who lurk just under the surface of our everyday. Tessa Gray’s lifelong love Will, elegant, attractive and at times arrogant, is still a loving and devoted man, known to occasionally recite his own poetry. Sigh!

Reaper coverTod Hudson – SOUL SCREAMERS series by Rachel Vincent

The vain and dashing reaper from Rachel Vincent’s world of Soul Screamers seems most akin to Alex Pettyfer —at least that’s what a Google image search reveals. With sarcasm to spare, Nash’s older brother vies for heroine Kaylee’s affections, without ever letting a hair fall out of place in the process.

Obsidian coverDaemon Black – The LUX series by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Fierce, protective and not even human (nobody’s perfect!), Daemon Black from the Lux series nonetheless takes on a human form, which fans have referred to as—in a word—“HOT”. Capable of tremendous power and speed, Daemon sports wavy dark hair, brilliant green eyes and mocking eyebrows. Sounds like the fans are right…

Iron Knight coverAshallyn' darkmyr Tallyn a.k.a. Ash – THE IRON FAE series by Julie Kagawa

The immensely popular Iron Fae series features this immensely popular character, an ageless, princely winter faery with a human soul who will never die. Pale white with eyes of silver, Ash has been known to attract — and intimidate — many other characters, fey and human alike.

Hunger Games screenshotGale Hawthorne – THE HUNGER GAMES series by Suzanne Collins

This one is a no-brainer, since we all thankfully now have the adorable face of Liam Hemsworth in our minds when thinking about faithful, earnest country boy Gale, who waits for Katniss as she’s off on her adventures in the first installment of the series. We’re looking forward to seeing his role develop further in the next film, Catching Fire.

I'd say Daemon cause I love him, but he'd just be to busy moaning about being on the island in the first place to help.
