The Fault in Our Stars, one of our favorite recent young adult novels, went book-to-screen this year, and it’s finally getting released on DVD and Blu-Ray! There will be several different versions released.

The standard DVD release will feature audio commentary from director Josh Boone and author of the novel John Green. It will also feature several featurettes, entitled The Cast, The Transformation, The Making of The Fault in Our Stars, Our Little Infinity, Literature to Life, The Music Behind Our Stars, and a photo gallery.

The Blu-Ray edition includes all of the same features on the standard DVD release, but also includes SIX deleted scenes, each with commentary by Josh Boone and John Green. It also includes another featurette entitled The Stars Align: Book to Screen.

Several of the deleted scenes have already been leaked online. While a few of them are just plain adorable, a couple of the deleted scenes may have been cut because they were just a little bit too bleak and depressing. In one of the more upbeat deleted scenes, we get to see a cute, flirtatious interaction between Gus and Hazel as they try to find a new home for Hazel’s swing set. Another upbeat scene has a cameo appearance from TFiOS author John Green, who plays the father of a little girl who has a curious encounter with Hazel while waiting for their flight to Amsterdam. One of the darker deleted scenes takes us inside the ambulance with Hazel and Gus as they are rushed to the hospital after the gas station scene, in which Hazel recites a hauntingly beautiful poem to an ailing Gus.

Those who purchase TFiOS from Target will receive both a Standard DVD and Blu-Ray physical copies, as well as a digital HD copy. The Target version also includes a fabric poster of Hazel and Gus and their Amsterdam bench.

If you order from Amazon, will get you the “Little Infinities” release, which includes Standard DVD, Blu-Ray, and Digital HD, an extended cut of the film with 32 additional minutes, all of the featurettes, deleted scenes, and if you pre-order, you will receive an infinity bracelet!

Now you can watch it over and over and over and over forever and ever and ever.
